A New Chapter: Studio.init() Ventures Takes Flight

From ex-Googlers to agency founders to startup incubator - our entrepreneurial journey

When we founded Studio Init in February 2023, fresh off our Google layoffs, we had a vision that stretched far beyond building an agency. We dreamed of creating our own venture studio, supporting our love for building and cementing our future path.

Well, today, that dream becomes reality…

We're launching Studio Init Ventures - our very own startup incubator.

And we're not just talking - we're doing. Our first product, Schedulator, is live (catchy name, I know). It's an iOS app that uses images or natural language to add events to your calendar. Incredibly simple and solving a real problem (think sports or activity paper schedules and a list of emailed events).

Will it be the next unicorn? Who knows. But that's not the point.

This journey is about the thrill of ideation, the excitement of bringing things to life, and building a sustainable framework to launch products that users will love (and hopefully buy).

Here's a fun fact: We built Schedulator in about a month, mostly nights and weekends. From idea to prototype to MVP, we moved fast and focused on what mattered.

It's been quite a ride. We've come a long way since our "52 days to build a company" challenge.

This path hasn't been easy - late nights, sacrificing time with friends and family, depleated savings, and plenty of self-doubt. But we persevered, fueled by the determination that we could create something we'd be proud of.

Studio Init, our zero-to-one startup agency, isn't going anywhere. In fact, it's growing (more on that soon).

Our agency is the foundation that's allowing us to take this leap. But Studio Init Ventures? This is where we're betting on ourselves, creating opportunities for our team (with equity to boot), and aiming to build products that make a difference (and profit).

We're not just building products - we're building a company that creates opportunities, delivers outstanding value, supports local talent, and has a lot of fun doing it.

From laid-off Googlers to agency founders to venture builders - it's been one hell of a ride. And we're just getting started.
